Often I'll make a "garbage pizza", cleaning out the fridge because leftovers always taste better as pizza!

Freya and Paul - Thanks for the kind words.

Patricia - Pizza is universal! I hope you get a few new ideas for your tradition.Cookie baker Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11069661176518230573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151230224028574772.post-90837391418151915472007-05-24T11:43:00.000-07:002007-05-24T11:43:00.000-07:00Lynn, what a wonderful post!I make pizza every Sat...Lynn, what a wonderful post!

I make pizza every Saturday night, too, and it's like our special thing. While I make the pizza, João prepares everything for us to eat - we eat on the sofa, watching TV or movies, and there's a small coffee table we use to place our glasses and things like that.
While the pizza is in the oven we have ourselves some wine.
It may sound like the simplest thing to do on a Saturday night but we absolutely love it.
I don't own a baking stone either, so I do the following: I have 2 very large square cake pans with removable bottoms. One of the bottoms stays inside the oven, functioning as a baking stone. The other one I use to slide my pizza into the oven. I made my pizza over a piece of waxed paper lightly floured with flour or cornmeal so it's easy to handle.

I love the step-by-step photos!Patricia Scarpinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14025126825422974626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1151230224028574772.post-55457152156496963082007-05-23T07:47:00.000-07:002007-05-23T07:47:00.000-07:00You cannot beat homemade pizza!
